Epic Bungalow Expansion | Chicago

This project was a complete overhaul, addition and renovation to a classic Chicago bungalow.  The front living room was fully renovated and features a transom dormer window to bring in additional day lighting.  The new kitchen is open to a heavily glazed conservatory with dramatic skylights and coffered ceiling.  Adjacent to the conservatory is an indoor hot tub, powder room/changing room and door to the rear garden. An open tread modern stair leads up to the new second floor which has two bedrooms, the laundry and a large primary suite.  

The exterior is a deep blue hardie board siding rainscreen system.  The rear garage is clad to match, with a roof deck to look over the garden and pond below.
